Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch, born on 9 February 1997 in the Philippines to Filipino biological parents. She was adopted at the age of three by her maternal grandmother living in slums. Her adoptive family is made by one Filipino adoptive mom and a white American army veteran. Her mother claims that she as well as her brother, who was adopted when a baby, were abused until they were drafted. Her family traveled to San Francisco for a few months, where they lived with their aunt, before relocating to Texas at the age of thirteen due to her father's need to undergo bypass surgery. She says the physical abuse subsided after a short time, however, she had to suffer from the psychological abuse her father inflicted on her. After 18 years of her life she joined the United States Navy. Poarch began her TikTok profile in April 2020. Within eight months she had more than forty million fans. Her biggest success was her video for Millie B's hit song Soph Aspin Send. The zoomed-in video of her rhythmically jumping and lip-syncing to the melody went viral and it became one of the top TikTok videos ever. After she joined TikTok and became famous, Poarch started up a YouTube channel, as well as a Twitter account. Poarch reached her peak of fame in December 2020. Poarch's rising popularity was reported to have drawn two of the top professionally-run Esports Teams. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in hiring her as a creator of content under their respective brand names.
